Join us for Why We Organize as African Women: African Internationalism 101, a dynamic political education session that explore the real root of our oppression—colonialism. We’ll unpack why gender alone can’t explain the conditions African women face, and how class, nation, and the colonial question must shape our understanding and strategy.
From the myth of “representation” to the commodification of our struggle, this session will expose how capitalism uses our image while maintaining our exploitation. You’ll also learn the origin story of the African National Women’s Organization (ANWO) and why our political mission to liberate African women is inseparable from the liberation of our people as a whole. Come hear what makes us different—and why African Internationalism is our guide to genuine freedom.
